It's all about me!
Aloha out there big internet world! Just a few things about me: I am amazing. Okay, not really, but its nice to imagine the impossible. I play volley ball and try to run almost every morning with my puppy, who is insane. I don't like the snow...well not exactly. I have a love-hate relationship with the snowy Colorado winters. The thing is, I love to snowboard and be on the mountain flying through the powder, but any other time the cold snow just gets on my nerves. I personally prefer the rain and that's why I will move to either Ireland, or Oregon when I grow up. When I grow up...it's a funny statement for me because I am only 4' 11'" and a lot of people don't think I am going to grow! I used to live in Pagosa Springs, so when I visit on the weekends I am usually busy catching up with my friends. When people ask me why I moved to Durango, the completely honest answer is; to go to Animas High School.
I am a freshman at Animas High School where the most amazing teachers work and everyone is open and accepting of everyone else and I would like to share with anyone who's out there my classes and what they are like. One thing you should know about Animas is that is it a school lead by project-based learning. This means that instead of worksheets and paperwork, we mainly focus on making hands on, interactive experiments that incorporate what we are learning into a project that allows plenty of room for creativity.
My schedule looks a bit like this: I have Physics (taught by Dave Heerschap), then Geometry (taught by Kristi Good), then I have Digital Arts (taught by Roxy McKnight.) After Digital Arts comes a 30 minute comical relief of lunch and hanging out with friends who make me smile most of the time. At 12:05 exactly Humanities (taught by John Fisher) begins and then I have a Student Interest Group (SIG, currently psychology) and an X-Block (physical education, currently yoga).
